MORNING routine:
1. I shower every morning even if I'm not washing my hair, I feel like it is the only way to fully wake myself up and feel clean. I wash my face every morning in the shower with a light purifying daily detox charcoal scrub followed by an anti-blemish deep pore cleansing wash. I've never had real acne besides the occasional pimple or hormonal breakouts but since my skin is oily I use products that reduce breakouts just in case. My scrub and face wash are from an Ethical Beauty line called DERMA-E (also can be purchased at Whole Foods). They make amazing products for all different skin types that are all natural and eco-ethical. I discovered this line from a friend a few years ago whose skin had noticeably changed and I have been using them every since.
2. If I am washing my hair in the morning I use either Olaplex bond maintenance shampoo (also found at Sephora) or L'Oréal Paris Hair Care EverPure Blonde Sulfate Free Shampoo (can also be purchased at drug store) for color treated hair. For conditioner I try to use Kerastase Blond Absolu intense fortifying treatment but if I am out of that I will use the same L'Oréal conditioner as the shampoo I mentioned.
3. After showering I make sure to rehydrate my skin with DERMA-E acne rebalancing cream on my face and nothing else before applying my makeup.
4. I know we all (hopefully) brush our teeth in the morning but I have to mention that I have the most sensitive teeth and gums and have always struggled with using regular toothpaste especially whitening products on my teeth until I started using Toms charcoal whitening toothpaste. It whitens my teeth just as well if not more than others I've used and does not have that overwhelming minty cold sensation that can hurt your mouth if you are sensitive like I am.
NIGHT routine:
1. Wash my face with the same DERMA-E scrub and face wash.
2. I typically try to apply a face mask before going to sleep to clear my pores from the day I either use my tried and true Skin Ceuticals clarifying clay mask for acne prone or oily skin it is pricey but lasts me a 9 months to a year and will cure any clogged pores or breakouts. This is also a great Sunday face mask to correct skin after a long week. Another face mask that I love for blackheads is the Biore charcoal mask, great for cleaning pores and oily skin, this is a much more affordable mask, I usually buy mine from CVS but can be found online as well.
3. Just since this December I've decided to take better care of the anti-aging aspect of my skin and a product that came highly recommended was the Skin Ceuticals Hyaluronic aside intensifier (H.A) A multi-functional corrective serum to help amplify skin’s hyaluronic acid levels, for all skin types to help prevent deepening of lines. People call this product "filler in a bottle". I apply two drops to my forehead and two drops to my neck.
Following the serum I apply my DERMA-E face lotion again.
If I have a pimple or feel a breakout coming on I will apply Kate Somerville EradiKate acne spot treatment to the area. This works so well without drying out the area.
EXTRAS
Self Tanner
I use St. Tropez self tanner almost every Thursday for the weekend/ week. I use the express one hour but leave it on over night to get an even darker shade and shower it off in the morning. Make sure to also purchase and apply the foam with the mitt so it stays off the inside of your hand and applies as evenly and naturally as possible. This is one of the products I could not live without as I am naturally very pale.
Vitamins & Supplements
I take the same Goli Apple Cider Vinegar gummies as Riann does, they have the same benefits as taking an apple cider vinegar shot followed by the same Natures Bounty hair skin nails vitamin gummies.
I also take before getting into bed the Natures Bounty Sleep gummies to help me fall asleep at a normal hour. These have helped me get onto a good sleep schedule and allow me to wake up earlier than normal by getting a restful sleep. I love the tropical punch flavor! These can be purchased at a drugstore as well as online.
